The Alberta World Cup Society (AWCS) proudly announces and celebrates the induction of one of its founding directors, Dale Swanson, into the prestigious Canadian Ski Hall of Fame. Swanson’s decades-long commitment to advancing cross-country skiing in Canada has left an indelible mark on the sport, both on and off the trails.

As a founding member of the AWCS, Swanson’s visionary leadership played a pivotal role in establishing Canmore as a global hub for cross-country skiing. His efforts helped bring high-profile international competitions to Alberta, fostering a world-class training environment and inspiring developing athletes

The induction ceremony took place on Friday November 15th in Montreal, Quebec, and honored Swanson alongside other luminaries in Canadian skiing. It stands as a testament to his enduring impact and the legacy he leaves for future generations of cross-country skiers.
