Dale Swanson Award
Dale Swanson Distinguished Athlete Award:
Dale co-founded the Alberta World Cup Society, and has spent more than 35 years serving in various volunteer roles within the cross country community.
In recognition for his years of leadership, the annual Dale Swanson Distinguished Athlete Award was created in his honour, with a bursary of $2500 each for two Academy Athletes. More Info ->
Dale’s contribution to cross-country skiing has been immeasurable, including the signature World Cup Stetson. In 2024, Dale had been inducted into the Canadian Ski Hall of Fame.
